Oudtshoorn is about 5 hours drive from Garden Route. It is a beautiful town filled with historical sandstone buildings of great historical value. The Cango Caves is one of the most amazing places to visit in South Africa. Don’t miss this during your visit to the region. It is a must. Tours are at set times. Just be aware of that.

We regularly accompany our students on the different hiking routes. Lions Head is the most common and one of the easier routes and is a must do activity. Visiting our townships is not advised if you do so by yourself. Avoid that. There are many reputable tour operators who can assist you in meeting people and see projects in the townships. Mzoli’s is also a famous township eatery, although we would not recommend you driving in these unknown area’s alone if you do not know where you should be going. Township tours can be arranged by us.
