Short description: This organization was founded in 1910. Today, they have offices in all nine provinces, rendering services from more than 50 accessible service points throughout South Africa. Their organization successfully creates an environment in which people are able to give up a life of crime and embark on a really constructive and law-abiding existence, to the benefit of all South Africans. They render intervention services inside and outside the criminal justice system. They offer a basket of intervention to individuals, victims, families and schools.
Their interventions include the following:
- Youth prevention services
- Diversion services
- Domestic violence reduction services
- Assisting prisoners with reintegration
Tasks: Help with traditional fundraising, corporates, trusts, foundation & social enterprises, do research to determine potential before approach. Finalise funding application as required. Capturing information on the CRM system – Customer Relationship Management system and or capturing information on their important projects.
Level of education: Study of psychology or social sciences is essential. The more advanced you are in your studies, the more responsibilities you will get. You must have basic knowledge in the above mentioned responsibilities.
Language skills: Good command of the English language.
Kind of person: The ideal candidate must have the ability to work with a non-judgmental attitude towards all clients. Empathy is key as well as determination to assist all types of adults and children, no matter what their history or action has been in the past.
